Jan Theme: “COMPOSITION” – specifically Leading Lines

This was taken outside the Anchor Pub on Gloucester Rd, Bristol as the snow is still falling over Britain. There’s currently about a foot of snow on the ground out here!

I took this crouching down low with my telephoto zoom, at 50mm to capture the snowman pointing at the sign above. To ensure I got the full range of detail in the snow and the light tones on the pub itself, I took another composite HDR image, this time made up of 5 images, each 1.5 stops apart. They were then merged in Photomatix and then Levels and Curves tweaked slightly in Photoshop to add a little contrast.
